Blu Cigs Review

Blu Cigs ReviewBlu electronic cigarettes have gone through some great changes lately. They have abandoned their 3-part design (now just 2 parts) and changed their e-juice for a safer one (they are using a USP grade glycerin in their US made juice, not a mix of glycerin and propylene glycol, which is a controversial substance used by most other brands). But, some users don’t like this taste. So, rather try it out on a disposable one before buying the starter kit. Also, you might need to buy more carts, as these don’t last as long as with competing brands. Read on the blu cigs review to understand the product better. Although, there are 5 other e-cig brands rated better than Blu Cigs on our site. Click here to check out which brands are better than Blu!

Product Description

Blu has been one of the leading brands in the e cig market for a long time already. But from the beginning of 2011 they starter making some really big changes with their e cigs. Their new 2-part design produces a great amount of vapor and the batteries quite last long. But the best thing is that they pay a lot of attention to the juice quality. They produce their juice 100% in the US. They are not using propylene glycol in their ingredients, which is stated to be a controversial substance, instead the USP grade glycerin is used. Although, from the negative side – some users don’t like the taste of blu’s juice.

The Blu Cigs cartridges are patented for their design to produce more and a consistent amount of smoke-like vapour throughout use. There are also 4 great flavors which are unique to Blu and which are produced in the States, using American ingredients (Johnson Creek). You can choose from the cartridge strengths as per your liking, from a range of Full-flavoured cigarettes to the Non-Nicotine cigarettes. The Full flavoured cartridge has 16mg of nicotine, the Light has 12mg, while the Ultra Light has 8mg. A single Blu Cigs cartridge can match up to a whole pack of the regular cigarettes. But here’s another negative side – other brands (like Green Smoke and V2 Cigs) have longer lasting carts. With Blu, you might run out of juice quite fast.

The Blu Cigs batteries are also uniquely designed for a longer-lasting life. These are available in white and black. Also, the plastic used in the product is environmentally friendly.

Blu has 3 starter kits available:

  • Original Starter Kit ($69.95)
  • Premium Starter Kit ($79.95) – includes Social Features*, 2 mini batteries
  • Premium100 Starter Kit ($89.95) – includes Social Features*, 2 large batteries

*Social Features: When some other user of blu cigs will be within 50 feet, the pack starts to vibrate and logo lights up, which is a great ice-breaking opportunity. No other e cigarette brand has such a cool feature.

Blu has also disposables available. A 4-pack costs $39.95. These are great for the first time users.

The Original Blu Cigs Starter Kit consists of 5 cartridges, an electronic battery along with a spare one, and a portable USB charger as well as a wall charger. You can choose cartridge strength as per your personal smoking trends.

There are new models of Blu Cigs packs available – with a black or white matte finish. These can hold 5 cartridges and a battery, so when you are away from you charger, you have always a fresh battery or new cartridge when you need it.

The product is popular among smokers since it is economical and doesn’t need a big investment at the start. The best aspect of Blu Cigs is that it comes with a battery that can even be charged on the move. Every battery has a good capacity of 6 recharges. The product also stands out from its contemporaries due to the blue LED device, unlike the Red LED device that can make other cigarettes look exactly like the real thing. The LED also acts as a battery alert.

Finally, since it provides spare parts on most of its components, a single kit of Blu Cigs can last you longer. They also provide free shipping on all orders.

Warranty: One Year and a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee.

Verdict

The old blu cigs are something completly different from the new ones. The new product with all the improvements is really better than the old one produces lots of smoke and has good batteries. But from the negative side – customer service doesn’t seem to be very good and there are sometimes problems with shipping. Also, there are some people who don’t like the blu flavors that much. And the cartomizers run out quickly as well. One more thing – blu makes a strange noise when you draw (most other brands don’t make a sound at all).

I am a fellow Blu cig user. I wasn't too sure about them at first but I ordered them anyway and was quite surprised with how real they are. I've since quit tobacco cigs.

I've been using blu for about one week now.  The price is very reasonable, but I don't think the cartridges last as long as they say.  I also had problems getting enough vapor and that "hit" in the back of the throat.  The first 2 draws were good, and then it wouldn't "smoke".  I contacted their customer service today, and they gave me some troubleshooting tips that seemed to help.  I like the pack that comes with it.  It holds 5 cartridges, and charges a battery.  Very convenient.

As the story goes…I've been a smoker (off and on) now for about 20+ years.  As a military Soldier…its far more important to be concerned about one's health.  Well, as I was outside one day with a friend smoking, they asked if I had tried the eletronic cigarette?  Imagine me…Mr. Gadget, and not hearing of this before???  I asked if it actually worked?  The answer was quick and simple….YES!  So, as soon as my break was over, I went directly to the website and ordered my BLU starter kit.  It came within a week, and I'm very happy to say that I threw my real cigarettes away THAT SAME DAY!   The claims are true and this product works as its described!  FINALLY….I quit smoking!  THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING!!!!!

Their shipping and customer service is atrocious. After placing my order I got an email that it was to be shipped within 24 hours, I then got an email on a Monday that my order was shipped and I can track the order within 24 hours. After 72 hours the shipping company said they did not get the order, so I called Blu customer service. They tried to convince me that stated it would ship in 24 hours actually meant 24 business hours! I could not believe it and they were quite rude to me. It has been about 2 weeks now and I am still waiting for my item, which they told me would be here no later than last week. I am not sure how good the cigarettes are, but I am probably going to send it back because of the poor customer service and shipping lies.

whats the difference between the yellow cartidges that come in the flavor packs and the 2 white or black (depending on what color you get) cartridges that come in the charger pack? i guess im an idiot because nobody seems to have the same question haha.

Dave, the refill cartridges are different colors because you can make an all black e-cig, all white e-cig, or make it look like a natural cig. The only difference is the color.

i'm 34 and have smoked a pack a day for at least 20 years with many, many attempts and fails at quitting….until blucigs! august 2nd, 2010 is when my kit arrived and i have been free of "traditional" cigarettes since! i LOVE this product. shipping is a bit slow, but it is free so i expect that. i also notice the cartridges don't last quite as long as they say they do, but i also expected that.
as far as vapor decreasing i've found some solutions..on the internet i found something called vapor boost. it works well. also, i started ordering the smoke juice directly from johnson creek rather than the prefilled cartridges and i found that works much better. i put 2 drops in the cartridge at a time and i'm a happy girl!
i am a walking advertisement for blucigs! rave about it constantly! if you are a smoker, i urge you to give it a try! it's been life changing for me!

Been smoking Blu Cig About 2 months now. It has cut my expense from $150 month to anout #30. The Classic Tobacco is by far the flavor that delivers the most smoke. I like to Java Coffee flavor but the smoke fapor is only about 25% of the CT.
It does take a while to get your refills, but that is getting better ( about a week wait on my third order). It’s a start up company. I’m sure they got overwelmed by the TV spot they did. Kinda like the Oprah Factor does to a company.
I’m sure they will get caught up and all the flavors will have more smoke soon.
By far the best price and flavors of any ecig I’ve come across. I met someone the other day paid $139 for the starter kit with no extra cig and no charger pack. He was pissed when I told him the prices and let him taste it.

I got them in 5 days, had no problems so far. Takes time to get use to them. Heavy on the end, mouth End hard. After two days all is fine. About the pack, it is nice that you can charge them, but they should change were they have the cigs and battery a long with the cartridge. The cig should be it the front so you can get it out easy, the battery needs a spot that it will not charge when you have it in the pack and make the holes bigger. But all is good

I ordered Blu due to there is no auto-rebilling that the other companies suck you into. That is a rip off. If you dont like there product it will takes months of charges before they stop billing your credit card. Blu bill’s only what you order, no auto rebilling and you can stop at anytime you want, no hassle. The product itself is great. I have been using it for about 7 months and have reordered a couple times with no issues. And the cost is very reasonable and affordable. My only issue is I misplace the cig from time to time but at $10.00 to replace a battery not a big issue. Love the product and the fact that is does not have any odor, ash or extras, I dont have to give a moocher a cig.:-)

I bought the Blu 7 months ago. It took a while to get used to, but I’ve found that the atomizers do not last very long – looking on the Blu web site, it doesn’t say much about it, but trust me, replacing the atomizer every 3-4 months is a good idea.
I’ve also bought liquid nicotine and ‘refill’ the cartridges myself. Usually 3 drops is enough – 4 drops is too much. If you get the liquid on your tongue or lips LOOK OUT! Burn, baby burn!
The hits are not ‘just like’ a real cigarette, but close enough. One other thing I’ve found is to take light, slow drags on the Blu. If you try and take a heavy hit from it, you’ll get nothing – except a headache! Using it in cold or windy weather is very difficult too.
Charging the battery is nowhere near what the site says – to charge the ‘pack’, I’ve plugged it in (A/C power) for 6 hours and it finally finishes. I have tried to charge both the ‘pack’ and the spare battery at the same time and that doesn’t seem to work at all. Overnight, both of them were not completely charged. To charge a single battery using the pack does take about 1 hour…sometimes less.
Overall, I think it’s a decent product. It takes some time to get used to, but at the price, it’s great. It’s my favorite out of two that I have (innovapor is the other),
but it’s not comparable to actual smoking.

I received my blu cig starter kit a week after ordering and love it! I overdid it on Day 1 by demonstrating the e-cig to everyone I came in contact with and ended up with a mild case of “too much nicotine” nausea, but that passed overnight and now I don’t hit it more than once or twice an hour (if that). I’m still smoking tobacco, but this is only Day 3 and I’m definitely cutting down. I like to get my money’s worth, so I’ll keep using the ultra-light nicotine until I finish the sample pack and then switch to zero nicotine cartridges so I can smoke my blu cig as much as I want. I’m also a purist and thought I’d only like the regular tobacco flavor, but I LOVE the menthol!! It’s not like a menthol cigarette at all, but much more subtle and very very tasty. I’m looking forward to trying the other flavors once this cartridge if empty. I’ve smoked for 40 years but can finally see myself quitting and highly recommend this product.

coming up on 72 hours of no tobacco – just using the blu. I purchased 4 months ago along with 5 bottles of refill. Got up on dec 22 2010 and a tobacco cig didnt sound good. Hey man – 3 days no tobacco – looks like a good thing to me. food allready taste like 10 times better. looks like food may become a delicious problem… The way i smoke it it is take 2 small puffs… gets it warmed up.. take a longer pull and get a big dose of vapor… do that a couple times your good to go…. pretty slick…

They are awful! Not only do they barly work but when I didnt receive part of my order they said they would check. Two weeks later I call back and they say it was shipped, still nothing. I call again they say the packaged weighed the correct amount my and my claim was denied. I would have sent this product back right away I was waiting for the whole order so I could get all of my money. They have the worst customer service I dont no how anyone can use these things.

You CAN refill the new carts, YAY! But, though I love my Blu, the batts don’t last more than 2 hours if you are a heavy user. I had to order two more batts so that I don’t ever run out of power. Blu is more for the lighter or social smoker. Wish I had known that! If you currently smoke over a pack a day of ‘regular’ cigarettes, try something with a bigger battery to start with. Otherwise, Blu has EXCELLENT customer service and the shipping has vastly improved, with the option to ship other than USPS now. Hope this helps someone out there! =)

I returned the starter kit. It didn’t work very well at all – I might get one solid drag out of ten. It was very inconsistent, I had to drag really hard and often nothing came out. I tried charging and recharging, but it never worked right. Also, the device was also very heavy – I was not able to hold it like a regular cigarette, as it would flip out of my hand. As this was my first e-cigarette, I do not know if this is the norm due to the electronics. But the main reason for returning was the inconsistency of “smoke” no matter how hard I dragged on it. Very disappointing.

Shipping was late, 9 days, and they sent me java flavor cartridge in a tobacco packaging. I sent a letter and detailed description of the false marketing to department of consumer affairs with some pictures, i hate coffee taste, i paid almost 70$ and i cannot use it. Also they don’t have anything available in their website? I am horribly unsatisfied, you got a lot more alternatives. I will buy something different, other than the box and charging unit, nothing was good. An unprofessional marketing failure.

Been using blu for a couple of months, there customer service is awful they will not take care of you no matter what. The taste is good if it we’re consistent, every time I order refill there’s a chance it taste different than the last order witch kinda upsets me cause I really do like the original flavor,I’ve already sent five packs back cause they tasted bad( still waiting) batteries don’t last that long I charge my batteries at least 10 times a day, I want to like blu, but idk, I think it’s time to fork up more money for a better brand…….

not sure what to think of the blu, got it a couple months ago and I find that after a few hours I still crave a reg. cig.thought maybe the nicotene was to low so i ordered lights but no differance, am going to try full flavor menthol next and hope that works. Love the fact that they are made here in america. would love to no longer be hooked on reg. cigs. Have smoked 38 years and know its slowly killing my lungs. everyone craoss your fingers that the full flavor does the trick.

When I first got my Blu about 4 or 5 months ago I wasn’t very satisfied with it, it took 3 weeks to get here, after just a few drags it didn’t seem like I was getting a full drag and it seemed I hadn’t used it very long and then needed to order a new atomizer. It started collecting dust.
After another hike in cigarette prices I gave it another try. Within that time they straightened out their customer service, they improved their shipping, added a bolder flavor, and improved their cartriages for better “smoking”. Now I’m a very happy customer. So if you didn’t like Blu before you might want to give it another try.
I do wish they would make a mocha flavor. I’ve tried the Java Jolt but I think it tastes to much like a burnt coffee bean.

When I ordered the starter kit earlier in 2011, It came with the 3-part atomizer-cartridge-battery, and yes, it didn’t “smoke” very well.

However, since Bly introduced the cartomizer, I’ve been very satisfied with them. Although the batteries don’t last long, keeping one charged and in reserve makes it worthwhile.

I stopped smoking real cigarettes using Chantix in combination with the Blu e-cigs, and I don’t use it very much now at all…a couple of times each day.

I’ve been tobacco-free for over 9 weeks (after smoking for 32 years). I never intended to use the e-cigs forever…just until I could get completely free of real cigarettes.

    The GOOD:

*The classic tobacco tastes great and has lots of smoke (vapor)!
*The pack recharges the second battery
*Sleek and lightweight design. Approximates the size of a King (Regular) cigarette.
    * Starter kit is reasonably priced.
    * Includes 2 batteries, wall charger, usb charger, and charger cord for pack.
    * Additional cartridges are reasonably priced.
    *Fast and Free shipping.
*30 Day Trial and 1 Year Warranty.

    The BAD:

    * Battery life does NOT last 80-100 “puffs” as stated on website. I appproximate 40-60 “drags” per battery charge.
    * The “Java Jolt” cartridges only produced approximately 50 “puffs” per cartridge (advertised to produce 250 “puffs” per cartridge)!
    * The pack recharger takes several hours to recharge.
*Customer service e-mail response slow to non-responsive.

I’ve used Blu, V2, and Safecigs. I’m allergic to propylene glycol though and had intense all-over itching from V2 & Safecigs. As far as flavor, Blu is the best. Unfortunately the cartridges don’t las very long, nor do the batteries- or it may be that either one or both of them are weak. There are tiny holes on the cartridge that I line up with the indent on the battery (where the cartridge screws on) and it helps some. The very worst thing about Blu is the customer service. They aren’t interested in repeat customers, there are no discounts, bonus offers, or any type of perk that says ‘we want you as a customer’. Blu’s customer service is obviously no more than a ‘necessary evil’ and there isn’t much effort wasted on customer problems. I shop primarily online, and a large part of the reason I do is the great customer service. Blu is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. That and Blu’s failure to encourage consumer loyalty (it all adds up over time, getting very expensive) with minor discounts once in awhile and being so adverse to the suggestion is the reason I give them 2 stars. The e-cigs are probably the best flavored & safest available but I’d say the president of Blu, Jason Healey, is a boy trying to do a man’s job. Eventually long-time customers will realize they’ve spent way too much on these things and his failure to give a sh*t about customers is gonna bite him in the butt. Hopefully someone at Blu will realize this big company could be outrageously seccussful rather than ‘doing great for now’.

I love my blucigs. I can smoke anywhere and it’s lightweight and easily concealed in the pocket of my scrubs. If I have it in my hand people usually just think I am holding an ink pen. I never smell like smoke and neither does my home. If I smoke in the car it will not affect my child or any other passengers. My only complaint is the time it takes to ship. I have to make sure I order at least a week before I run out. Small price to pay, it’s been 5 months since I have had any tobacco cigarettes and no one has died in the process. Now that’s saying something!!!

I recently purchased the Blu electric cigarette after trying an electric cigarette that a friend of mine purchased. I received my order just a few days after ordering, including the weekend. I have already went from 40 cigs/day to about 5 cigs/day, after smoking for about 11 yrs.
I couldn’t be any happier with Blu and have already recommended it to many of my smoker friends.

I also didnt like the kit.
    Draw is to easy.
    Taste is not good.
    I returned it.
They did include an expired 10% discount coupon though.
When I asked fgor a new coupon, I was told they extended the offer through September, only there were 8 days left in SEptember.
When I asked to get more time for the discount, I was told, sorry wont do it.
All the other negitive stuff in previous reviews appears to verify my feelings about Blu, as a company.
I added to my previous review.above.
Ill see how the 30day money back guarantee works out.will rfeport back.

Blu disappointed me as well, but in the flavors especially. I smoke Marlboro lights, so I went with the classic tobacco. It taste like coffee! I have been trying it for days but can’t get a taste for it, as I hate coffee. In the mean time my green smoke kit came and I loveeee it. Way better flavor, draw and vapor. Sorry blu, been trying to like ya, but green smoke blew ya out if the water. Was worth the extra money. Charger pack and all is neat. Wish I could stomach the taste. Menthol flavor is more like a peppermints sweet too. A little sweet is ok, but blues classic and menthol are both way to sweet to try to go from regular smokes to that. Green smokes absolute is way better in my opinion. And the flavormax carts are amazing. Taste and vapor wise. Hope this helps someone. I knew e cigs would be different from analogs, but dang, blu flavors aren’t even comparable to a cigarette. Maybe pipe tobacco? But not a cig.

I had Blu in the past and I was pretty satisfied before now. This year I got a new starter kit for my boyfriend and I, extremely disappointed in where they headed. The batteries do not last near to 100 puffs, but that may be because I have to drag hardcore on it to get any smoke. The Cherry Crush ones seem to be the only flavor that has smoke when I puff it. Even though I like the flavor, I don’t like that it’s the only decent flavor that produces any kind of smoke. I feel like they half-ass fill the cartridges. They never last 300 puffs, not even close. The product is terrible, I do not recommend it at all anymore. Tonight, I just had a cartridge that was brand new and didn’t produce any smoke whatsoever. I wasted a whole battery trying to get it to go and it never happened. I put in another new cartridge and that worked immediately. So I got ripped off one cartridge, definitely not worth the $12 for the cartridge pack. That’s not even all…. one of my batteries, not even a couple months old, is already deteriorating and not working properly. The light just kind of goes out and it stops working, it doesn’t even need charging. Which is yet another problem. Even the charger pack isn’t working, again not even a couple months old. It’s not charging batteries nor does it seem to be charging when it’s plugged in. Another problem is the USB charger. I have to plug it in, unplug it, plug it back in over and over because it doesn’t always charge a completely uncharged battery. I have double checked everything, I treat all of my products very well, everything says Blu is responsible. It is their product that is just awful. I’m going to call them tomorrow and speak to a manager to make sure they take back the cartridges I ordered a couple of days ago because I have had enough fighting with their horrible product. I’m shocked they’re so well known and get good reviews. I’ve had nothing good to say about them since I got these new starter kits. I’m returning it and taking my money elsewhere. What a waste of time.

My wife and I just recently tried this disposable product and find it to be just as satisfying as the real thing. So far, very impressive.

I bought a disposable Blu e-cig, and I love it! I had the choice with the disposable of menthold or traditional tabacco, but I chose traditional (never been a fan of menthols). The disposable is $8 @ Walgreens, and it’s ready to go right out of the box. The box stated that you get the equivalent of a pack and a half of cigarettes out of one disposable Blu disposable. The taste is amazing. It alsmost has coffee taste to it, you can really feel it in the back of your throat and there is absolutely no smell in the air, not smelly fingers, no lighting it, nothing. I’m going to get the whole kit soon, but wanted to try the disposable first. I am so impressed with it. I am definitely going for the kit. I love how the battery recharges in the pack so you’re never left w/o a battery when you’re out and about. I love the look and feel of the Blu. Also, if you get the kit it has a cool social aspect. When you have the Blu with you and you get close to someone else who is vaping Blu’s, a little vibration goes off so you can bond. Just a small fun extra feature. This is a really cool product, and I really like that almost all the parts are made in the US. Oh, and one more thing, the black one is so cool looking. It lights up blue at the end and it’s matte black colored with embossed swirly pattern on the long part. It’s just the coolest and I think best quality for the price.

Using the disposables while I wait for the kit I ordered to arrive. I’m satisfied with the disposables so I can’t imagine that I’d be less satisfied with the more convenient kit.

Just switched to Blu Cigs after several years of smoking the regulars. I have to say it was a little weird at first, but I’m extremely impressed with how much it really fights the cravings. I’ve since quit all regular cigarettes and have noticed a huge difference in my run times. The FDA may not have weighed in on these things yet, but I can tell you from a current and loyal customer…they really do work.

If you are skeptical about switching, go to their website and check out the retail locations…typically a CVS or Walgreens somewhere nearby. Go get one of the disposable ones for usually less then $8-$9. You can try out their product without having to invest in the mainline starter packs. I’m pretty sure you’ll be impressed enough to switch right away!

I am sort of underwhelmed by the product. When it works it works really well having said that the batteries that came in my starter kit are horrid. I charge them in the pack the light eventually goes out I use it once or twice and it blinks about 15 times. And I don’t get a great deal of smoke. If I do the priming puffs it seems to get better but that is kind of irritating. I don’t have any experience with the other brands but if the folks that do are giving this a 5 then the market has not yet really gotten the technology it should have.

Caveat** I was only able to get the short battery, older kit from Walgreens maybe that means it is bad tech or just old stock that is no longer up to the standard. Anyhow, I’ll just say I am honestly disappointed.

Cartridges don’t last the advertised “tokes”, batteries don’t last as advertised and the taste isn’t so hot in any of the flavors, thou Cherry was the strongest. I’m really disappointed. I previously used Vapure and now I’ll go back.

My husband has been smoking blu for about 8 months now. Fantastic! SOOOOOO Blessed for MANY REASONS! I have purchased at least 4 BOXES of the disposables for him. (Regular Flavor) He has purchased about 8 boxes and numerous individual cigs, maybe 5-8….whatever Walgreens has. We have the phone numbers for ALL THE WALGREENS WITHIN 50-250 MILES FROM HERE, on our phones. Very few have them….as they are always SOLD OUT, AND WE DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY AREN’T SOLD ELSEWHERE, OR WHY WALGREENS DOESN’T ORDER ACCORDING TO THE DEMAND. MY HUSBAND HAS PERSONALLY CONVINCED AT LEAST 200 OR MORE PEOPLE TO TRY THIS PRODUCT. HE IS VERY SOCIABLE AND TALKATIVE. HE AND I, BELIEVE IN THIS PRODUCT…..OVERWHELMINGLY! HE IS ONE OF THE BEST ADVERTISEMENTS YOU PROBABLY HAVE! ALL THE WALGREENS KNOW US FOR MILES IN MISSISSIPPI AND LOUISIANA! HE STANDS UP PROUDLY SMOKING THEM IN THE STORES, RESTAURANTS, AIRPORTS, HOSPITALS, OUTSIDE OF WALMART…YOU NAME IT…AND PROUDLY BOASTS OF YOUR PRODUCT…BEGS PASSERBY PEOPLE TO STOP SMOKING AND TRY THEM. HE AND I CARRY SPARE ONES…JUST TO GIVE AWAY BECAUSE WE CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH OF PEOPLE. HE IS A RETIRED AIR FORCE MAN. A TALL, HANDSOME, STRONG, MANLY MAN AND A CAJAN AND PEOPLE ARE DRAWN TO HIM NATURALLY….AND THE DUDE IS SO HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO BE COCKY ENUFF TO BLATENTLY SMOKE IN STORES, HOSPITALS, RESTAURANTS. IT’S A CAJAN’S NATURE….I RECKON.

I used blue for 2 month. All flavors they have is just nasty crap (espetially Java) exept cherry. I used to smoke 1 pack a day or 2 depends if alcohol was involved. I ended up spending more on blue than I used to on reg cigs. only approximately 30-40 first puffs will get you OK vapor and some flavor. after approx 80-100 puffs its over. Pack stopped charging, I sent an email to ger an RMA form – no reply. I will use my usb charger and buy an e-juice to refill it myself untill batteries go south, then I will shop around for another kit.

Amount of puffs is not even close as advertized, some cartridges comes empty, pack is not charging properly, customer service is, wait, do they even have a customer service?….

I bought one of their disposable cigarettes and liked it. Placed an order and had 2nd day delivery . Check back to find out where my order is to find it still processing 2 days later. The product has been back ordered for close to 3 weeks I find out. Then a Blu representative tells me it shows this on the website. That’s not how I read ” In Stock” on their own web site. Canceled order and bought from Green Smoke instead. Who wants to do business with a company like this on the 1 st order?

Of the disposables I’ve found at Walgreens these seem to offer the best draw/vapor. On the other hand the flavor is bad….they taste like somebody farted in my mouth. Avoid the “classic tobacco” flavor at all cost because they are honestly that disgusting. On the flip side however they seem to satisfy my nicotine urges so I can’t complain about that. Can’t say anything about the customer service b/c as I said I’m trying a disposable and haven’t had to deal with these people yet. Anyhow I’ll give the product three stars despite tasting like ass, because they DO satisfy the urge which is the reason I bought them.

Oh and as far as the lack of vapor goes? Don’t cover the hole on the side, avoid doing that and it works just fine.

I have been using the Blu Disposables for about 10 days now and have not smoked since then after 7 years of smoking.I can get about three days off a disposable so I think I am going to try the starter pack. plus at 10.00 the disposables are going to get expensive. Nice thing is that Walgreens sells the starter pack and the extra flavors so you don’t need to wait on shipping.I can tell you I am already feeling better and love that I can now use these with the windows up! If your a smoker, give them a try.

I have been using Blu since May of this year. My issue is the batteries do not last long at all. I am constantly changing the battery. The cartridges do not last long at all. Some last longer than others. If you puff to hard to see if it is empty then it will burn your lips. NOT GOOD. I am going to look into another brand but it is hard to pick one that you know is good. Would not recommend this to others.

they’re good in fact the best ive seen in this almost dead market i had my last cig today and after smoking this it tasted gross XP in all honesty it does feel good to breathe again i have one qualm as i do with most e-cigs it doesn’t deliver as heavy as a conventional cigarette however it is a good way to quit and i would never tell someone who is trying to quit to pass up the e-cig

I have smoked 22 years and tried SOOO many times to quit. Smoked my last cigarette 3 nights ago and bought the disposable Blu Ecig at Walgreens the next morning. I usually smoke about 12-15 cigs a day, and the disposable has lasted me 3 full days now and still going. I have tried the patches, the gum, etc. before and always fallen off the wagon back to real cigs. I feel excited that the Blu Ecig is actually giving me hope that I can quit for good this time. My kids are so excited that I am trying and that I don’t “stink” of cigarettes the last few days. That and the Ecig should make it possible to quit! Thank you Blu!!!

Liked the disposibles so I bought the kit. Big waste of money. The pack would’t even hold a charge before I ran out of the starter cartridges. It never held a charge for as long as a pack when I first got it. When I took a drag off of it I had to draw so hard it made me gag. Don’t buy this.

I bought the “original” starter kit less than 3-weeks ago. Within a day, one of the batteries refused to take a charge. I left it on the charger overnight, still nothing. They replaced that. Then I had problems with inconsistent cartridges; some would “hit” just fine, others would fizzle out after just a few puffs. I called them today to request a refund and offered to pay for the return shipping. I was told that their “company policy” is *no refunds*, only exchanges. It would seem that their company policy is more important than customer satisfaction. So I’m stuck with a $38 piece of junk that I will never use again. The product description above incorrectly states that they have a 30-day money back guarantee… not so. My advice to anyone that’s considering Blu would be to go elsewhere.

Run far away from this. It is no good at all. I bought a starter kit yesterday, charged it fully, it lasted 30, may 40 minutes. Flavors are not flavor at all. Its pitiful. I am going to stick with Vapage and Eversmoke. The batteries last for hours, most of the flavors are good.

I started out with Blu because it was the only e-cig brand that I’d heard of. It was OK for a little while but the battery life was terrible. They took an eternity to recharge, usually quite a bit longer than it took to run down the other battery, and lasted not that long at all once fully charged. Eventually it got down to the charge lasting about equivalent to 2 tobacco cigarettes.

So I switched to V2 and it is a world of difference. MUCH better battery life and it’s quite a bit cheaper. Blu must put all their money into marketing rather than making a good quality product because though I’d never heard of V2 until the lady at the tobacco shop recommended it over Blu I tried V2 and it is in every way far superior. And you can refill the cartridges which is even cheaper than buying prefilled carts.

As for the “made in the U.S.A.” angle I couldn’t care less. The Chinese are the ones who invented e-cigarettes in the first place, America is just riding off of their ingenuity not the other way around. Going by Blu I’d say the U.S. certainly did not improve on it. And let’s face it, there is precious little to be proud of regarding the U.S. as it has the worst standard of living in the developed world by any objective metric. It has the industrialized world’s worst educational system, worst health care system, worst murder rate, most prisoners (25% of the planet’s total of incarcerated people!), worst (basically NO) worker rights, laughingstock of a judicial system, fewest vacation days per year, most corrupt and unrepresentative government that is nothing but a hand puppet of the billionaire elite and big corporations, highest infant mortality rate etc. etc. It is no exaggeration to say the U.S. is the ghetto of the industrialized world and only getting more so every year. It is also the most insufferable place to live where people can’t resist putting American flags on everything from a pawn shop to a bank to a garbage dump. Enough already with the jingoistic chest thumping. All it amounts to is overcompensating for having such a rotten country, the rest of the world sees right through it. So when I see “made in the U.S.A.” it certainly is not a selling point for me. I go with quality and cost and in both those categories the foreign V2 offers much more than the Blah, I mean Blu. Typical for America the Blu has much MUCH more marketing but it’s a totally inferior product. Consumers, don’t even waste your money on a Blu starter kit. Just go with V2 or something else. Blu wasn’t even rated in the top five e-cig brands. Marketing can’t disguise this if you’re unfortunate enough to have already bought one.

Blu is not a bad product and I appreciate what they have done for smokers by being one of the first to offer easy to use, convenient vapes that don’t have to be refilled. Like the previous poster said though, they spend more on marketing than product development and their competitors are doing a better job in this category. I much prefer Green Smoke. Their flavors are much better tasting, the vapor production is greater, the batteries and carts last longer and their starter kits are better.

Paid $12.00 for a one time e- cig. Got it home and it is lousy. I draw and very, very little vapor comes out. I will go to the store tomorrow and see if they will replace it. Hopefully it’s just a old cig thats been sitting on the counter. Time will tell.

I was a pack a day smoker for 5 years and was able to quit because of ecigs….but I frequently want to smash the shit out of my bluecig starter pack because one of the batteries randomly doesn’t work (even when it has a brand new cartridge and the pack is fully charged). My first starter pack completely stopped working, so I got another, and now one of the batteries is already shot after owning it for only three weeks….it’s obnoxious.
The cartridges definitely are not equivalent to a carton of cigarettes, but hey, I’m glad my voice doesn’t sound scratchy anymore.

Total garbage. I bought the kit… First one would not charge at all. Bought another kit, worked for about a hour, then dead as well. Third kit worked for 6 days & now will not charge either. Don’t waste your money.
